A night out with the boys in the bar, partying with the friends - with the usual companions of alcohol and tobacco.
While drinks and smokes make the party infinitely better, ending the party in bed with your lover can become an undesirable "after effect". As most of us know, alcohol and sex just don't mix well when one imbibes too much. True, a glass or two can be relaxing and even arousing, but, quite frankly, a whole bottle of hard liquor is a quick way to a limp weenie.
Smoking can also have negative efffects for your sex life. Although you will still be able to have an erection and perform in bed, your lungs and heart may not be able to keep up with the increased effort. You could find yourself wheezing and forced to assume a more passive role in order to save your strength. And this even before considering the negative effect smoking has on fertility in both men and women.
After sex cigarettes are a nice touch to the afterglow of a shared orgasm, but smoking can increase the risk of impotence by up to 50 percent for men in their 30s and 40s. This means that many men who would otherwise be perfectly healthy are now impotent simply because they liked to smoke.
There are many, however, who argue this point and it is true that weight and other lifestyle factors can play a significant role in reduced sexual peformance, but as an overall rule of thumb, alcohol and cigarettes (especially when combined) could cause impotence issues.
As with so many things in life, practice caution and moderation and all should be well. Have fun, but stay safe!
